Artwork > New Work

This body of work investigates the idea that place impacts our sense of self. My drawings and paintings look to the natural world to understand the relationship between place and identity on a symbolic level. My large-scale installation looks to the built environment to convey associations by moving within, and navigating through, space. Contextualized in this manner, this work explores the psychological and emotional terrain in understanding the self and the manner in which place becomes a defining characteristic of identity.
